I am very excited to have my first post on my new blog! Here we have a new bulletin board I put up in the hallway at Wheelock, with the help from a friendly student, about being a social detective. This story, You are a Social Detective by Michellle Garcia Winner, was read to all the second and third grade classrooms with corresponding lessons. The children are encouraged to use their four social detective tools; eyes, ears, brain and heart to help them figure out what is expected and what will happen next.
